Day 1: Opening & Plenary Sessions
Symposium Day 1 began with the official opening, registration, and launch. It featured special addresses from key global bodies like UNDP and IUCN, followed by a series of foundational plenary sessions. These talks provided a comprehensive overview, examining Malaysia’s flora and fauna, the role of Indigenous Peoples, and the significant pressures of the Anthropocene era and forest conversion trends on the nation’s natural heritage.
