PACOS Trust

Gordon John Thomas is a Dusun Tatana from Kuala Penyu, Sabah. He graduated in Molecular Biotechnology from University Malaysia Sabah in 2000. He joined PACOS Trust in 2010 and is currently a Program Coordinator in the Natural Resource Management Program. The program is responsible for empowering the Indigenous People throughout Sabah particularly on the customary stewardship of their natural resources, primarily through their good practices and traditional knowledge in protecting, sustainable usage and restoration of their natural resources, in their customary territories. Activities conducted are mainly on community mapping, documentation of community protocols, capacity building and awareness education, including networking and advocacy nationally and internationally.
